One of those small things that can turn into a big issue over timeā€¦

Take a quick walk around your home and look at the ground near your foundation.
It should slope away from the houseā€”not toward it.

Over time, soil settles. And even a small dip can cause water to collect along the foundation instead of draining away.

A few things to keep an eye on:
ā€¢ Low spots near the house
ā€¢ Water pooling after rain
ā€¢ Areas near downspouts or garden beds

The good news?
This usually isnā€™t a major fix. Itā€™s often just a few inches of slope in the right direction.

Not something you need to run out and fix todayā€”just a good one to keep in mind as we head into spring.
