As many of you know, whether you are local or visiting our page from out of state, our area is being impacted by a devastating fire that has blazed through Spokane leaving hundreds of residents homeless or in need of assistance as they navigate through this tragic time. Approximately 67,000 residents have been forced to evacuate from their homes and over 850 homes and structures have been destroyed.

As professionals who secure homes for people on a daily basis, we understand deeply what a loss this is to these families. Many of our agents serve the Spokane region and North Idaho as we are very close neighbors.

Please share the attached flyers from the Spokane REALTORS with anyone you know who needs assistance in navigating this difficult time, or if you would like to know where the donation drop off centers are and immediate items needed. Donations are also being accepted at THE COVE at 510 S Clearwater Loop, Suite 100 in Post Falls.

Spokane REALTORS has mobilized and secured $500,000 grant money from the NAR REALTOR Relief Foundation (RRF). This money will be distributed as grants of up to $1,000 per household whose home is uninhabitable due to fire damage or is a total loss for those affected in Spokane, Stevens, and Lincoln Counties.

If you are impacted by these fires, be sure to be speaking with the right people about how to go about your insurance and relocation needs. It is advised only to speak to experts when navigating important steps toward relief. Insurance questions should go to your insurance providers, loan questions should go to your loan officers, and so on.

We are a strong community of people who want to help. Over the coming days and weeks our team and the real estate community intends to assist anyone in need during this time.

Thank you to our firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and National Guard and everyone out there who has been working so hard and risking their lives to get this fire fully contained and helping those in need. 🤍
