When selling a home, price matters — but it is not the only part of the conversation.

🏡 What Are Seller Concessions?

Seller concessions are when a seller agrees to contribute toward certain buyer costs as part of the negotiated offer.

For buyers, this can sometimes help reduce the amount of money needed out of pocket at closing. Depending on the loan, lender, and situation, concessions may be used toward things like closing costs, prepaid items, or other allowable expenses.

They are not automatic, and they are not the same as the seller simply handing you cash. Like many parts of a real estate offer, seller concessions are something to understand before you negotiate.
