So what would you do if you worked at a company with a competing broker and knew you couldn't send them your business while on parental leave?🤔

The best advice would be to find a battle buddy and compensate them based on the amount of work they help you with. For instance, if they had to do an entire listing for you, they should be compensated differently than if they only had to attend a closing.

We do have one rule at The ART of Real Estate with parental leave... If you're out, you're out and if you're in, you're in.🏡🍼

What I mean by this is that if you say you're taking 2 weeks off, take them off. If you start responding to your clients when you already have teammates helping, that could lead to confusion.

For one, open houses aren't very safe. 🚫🏡

You don't know who is coming into the house. If 10 people come in at once, where do you go? Are they taking things, unlocking windows? You have no clue.

Agents who say they do open houses for seller leads can't be too serious because maybe 2% of sellers actually find the agent at an open house wanting them to list their home.

Majority of people get their information about buying and selling through a real estate agent.🏡🔑
