I’m baaaaack! 👋🏾 And just because I’ve been a little quiet on here doesn’t mean I haven’t been working!

The September edition of my Residential Review is here, and apparently I’ve been operating in twos since we last caught up: 2 closings, 2 new listings, and 2 investors! And we’re not slowing down because I have 1 exciting new listing in a highly sought after neighborhood coming to Downtown Columbia this month.

August was also incredibly special outside of real estate. Before another amazing 803 Day weekend, I was honored to receive a resolution from the South Carolina House of Representatives, presented by Rep. Hamilton Grant, as well as an official City of Columbia proclamation presented by Councilman Sam Johnson recognizing 803 Day. To see something created simply out of love and pride for the 803 receive recognition at both the state and city levels is something I’ll never take for granted.

Now we’re rolling into September, and I am LOCKED AND LOADED! We have less than a month before Q4 begins, and I’m determined to finish this quarter STRONG. Real estate, business, community, events, clients, closings—you already know there will probably be a little bit of everything.

So follow along for what I’m expecting to be a vigorous September journey! And if buying, selling, or investing is part of your plans before the end of 2026, I’m accepting new clients and ready to work.

Story time: I recently closed on my very first clients home.

When I jumped into real estate in 2020, this amazing couple saw my business card at the gym and called me to sell their home while looking for a new construction home. I found the buyer for their home as well, making my first real estate deal a 3-sided transaction for me. I navigated through buyers, sellers, and new construction during the COVID pandemic. 😮‍💨

That crash course gained $21,000 in my first deal. You couldn’t tell me nothing! I was like “Mama I made it!” However, my next deal wasn’t until 5 months later. I learned quickly to have discipline in my finances as well as the ebbs and flows of the market.

Fast forward to now where they are moving onto their next phase and called me to sell their home again. 🥹 It’s the relationships like these that I cherish. They are one of my favorite couples, and I’m not saying it because they are both Sagittariuses like me! 🤣

🏡 The June Residential Review Has Arrived! 🏡

May was one of those months that perfectly captured what life looks like both inside and outside of real estate.

From showings, listings, contracts, closings, open houses, and helping clients navigate some of life's biggest decisions, real estate kept me moving across the Midlands. Every home has a story, and I'm grateful to have played a role in helping buyers and sellers begin new chapters.

Outside of real estate, May was filled with community meetings, event planning, nonprofit work, and continuing to build the projects and initiatives that mean so much to me. Whether it was working on 803 Day, Black Eats Week 803, VOTING, supporting local organizations, serving on boards and commissions, or connecting with people throughout our community, I was reminded once again that relationships are at the heart of everything I do.

The Residential Review is my opportunity to pull back the curtain and share the journey—the wins, the lessons, the milestones, and the moments that make each month memorable.

Another one locked in 🔑🏡

Welcome to the May edition of The Residential Review, a lifestyle summary of my life outside of real estate....well kinda. I was very fortunate to have 3 closings in April in Lake Carolina (Columbia), The Highlands (Columbia), and Main Street (Downtown Columbia) and I listed 3 properties as well in Lake Carolina (Columbia), Downtown Columbia, and Walnut Creek (Elgin). Realtors, grab your buyers because my sellers are VERY motivated!

Even in the mist of closings and listings, I still managed to have a little fun. I went to Atlanta 3 weekends out of the month and Raleigh on the other weekend. In short, Atlanta had her way with me last month! I had so much fun indulging in the culture of live music, great food, and great company.

This is why it’s so important for Realtors to protect ourselves as public figures. Our names and phone numbers are public information and you would not believe the amount of creepy messages I get from fake numbers like “I loved your billboard & I wanted to meet you in person” when I’ve never had a billboard.

Maybe it’s my fault for entertaining the scammers because I’m genuinely amused when people try to get over on me. I used my Realtor app & saw this was a fake number before I even responded. And if this was a serious buyer they would have seen that the property is not currently habitable.

Just a glimpse of why we must protect ourselves from the weirdos and scammers out there. Being a Realtors isn’t all rainbows and butterflies.
