As an Air Force veteran and the wife of an Army combat veteran, military service and sacrifice are deeply personal to my family. We both come from families with strong military legacies, and we understand that the freedoms we enjoy today were secured by the men and women who sacrificed their tomorrows for our futures.

Today, we honor the fallen heroes who gave everything in service to this nation. Their courage, selflessness, and devotion will never be forgotten.

Wishing all of our fellow Americans a safe Memorial Day. As you spend time with loved ones, enjoy cookouts, and celebrate the freedoms we cherish, we also encourage everyone to remember the true meaning of this day and the price that was paid for it.
