Happy New Year’s 2023 everyone! Wow….such a year 2022 has been! So many incredible things for me, personally, like getting engaged to Travis Short, vacations and weddings with family and friends, professionally being able to help establish 44 families in new homes, watching Landon grow and develop in to an amazing young man, sitting back and being mesmerized but the incredible young woman Savannah has become and her new role as a wife, helping Travis achieve his goals of starting a business, Wrap Dawg. Witnessing his passion of art first hand. Adopting our new fur family member, Daisy Belle, she brings such life and happiness to our household. And getting settled in to our new house, making it a home for ourselves and family and friends. God has been at the center of all these things. We pray daily, continuously for his Grace and recognize we would never ever be where we are without his guidance.
Don’t get me wrong, we have had our share of set backs and knock downs. From the passing of our beloved Sparky, interest rates sky rocketing affecting folks ability to purchase their new home, I’ve had hip, back and knee pain (yes I know I’m getting old) but I’ve also always been an athlete, I had knee surgery in December and I’m still not 100%, was in a car accident and my car was totaled, Travis owns a Jeep…(money pit LOL), a looming recession on the horizon….
HOWEVER, we know with each set back God is saying something to us and we are listening. Learning to be patient. Knowing it’s on his time not ours.
I’ve been through a lot in my life but here is one thing I’ve learned from hard times….they pass! It’s about what you do when the times are hard. Make a commitment now to make 2023 your year! Here are some things I’ve done that can bring value to your life.
âś… Wake up and be thankful and grateful for what you have!
âś… set GOALS!!! Write down your goals and check them off! We do yearly goals as a family. We put them in writing and hold each other accountable.
âś…Create a Vision Board
âś… Make daily to do list!!
✅ Get exercise in every day. It doesn’t have to be big…it just has to be something.
âś… Read or listen to audible every day for at least an hour. Listen to or read things that will improve your life. (Do this while taking your shower, drinking coffee or commuting)
âś… Take vitamins and study how food affects the body. Follow a diet that gives you fuel! Feel young again and get that energy back. Finally, set goals.
If you master your morning and your health your life will fall into place. Success is all about creating habits so start and never stop, one at a time! I’m going to continue this plan, does anyone want to join me🤷‍♂️!?
