We have recently been made aware of scammers falsely advertising homes for rent using our company name and photos.

Turman Realty does NOT list rental homes on Facebook Marketplace.

If you see one of our properties listed there, it is a scam.

To protect yourself:

✔ Only view available rentals on our official website: www.turmanco.com
✔ Never send money through Cash App, Zelle, or wire transfer to secure a rental
✔ We do not give keys or access before a signed lease and verified payment
✔ When in doubt, call our office directly to confirm a listing

Scammers often copy photos and create fake listings to collect deposits from unsuspecting renters. Please share this post to help protect others in our community.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of LTC (Ret) Frank Alfred Turman (March 12, 1929 – October 24, 2025).

Mr. Turman was a distinguished veteran who served in the U.S. Army during both the Korea conflict and Vietnam War, eventually retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

After his military career, he established the Turman Realty Company, Inc. and made a meaningful impact in the Columbus, GA community—teaching, leading, and serving with dedication.

Key Responsibilities

Perform make-ready repairs including patching walls, painting, changing locks, replacing outlets/switches, installing fixtures, and other minor carpentry tasks.
Handle light plumbing tasks such as replacing faucets, repairing minor leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring basic plumbing fixtures are in working order.
Complete basic electrical tasks such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures (within non-licensed scope).
Conduct detailed cleaning of units, including kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, floors, and windows.
Inspect properties for maintenance needs and report larger issues to supervisors.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies.
Document work performed and communicate job status to supervisors.
Assist with property upkeep tasks as needed, such as trash removal, touch-up landscaping, or coordinating with vendors for specialized work.

Qualifications

Previous experience in residential maintenance, construction, or related field preferred.
Working knowledge of light plumbing, painting, basic electrical, and carpentry.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
