True downsizing is mostly a myth now.
For our parents' generation, the plan was simple: sell the big house, buy something smaller, pocket the difference. The math doesn't work in Central Ohio anymore - the "smaller" home in the neighborhoods people actually want ( Dublin, Powell, Jerome Village) often costs more than the one they are selling.
