A lot of this is accurate, though this post sounds a bit whiny... I love my job, and I'm grateful to get to do it full time, and that almost 19 years later I can still claim that in any given year, 80-90% of my business is repeat clients or personal referrals.

Even so, when it comes to the numbers, I will likely never be a to anyone other than my clients, and I'm A-OK with that! ♡ ❤️🏡🔑

Here's what that "work" actually looks like:

6 AM — Answering texts before your coffee is ready.
9 AM — On the phone with a lender who has "one small issue" that is never small.
12 PM — Skipping lunch to write an offer that needs to be submitted in 47 minutes.
3 PM — Showing 6 houses back to back while pretending your bladder is fine.
6 PM — Missing dinner. Again.
9 PM — Mediating between a buyer and seller who both want to kill each other.
Midnight — "Hey, quick question..."
(There are no quick questions in real estate.)

Meanwhile every month starts at $0.
No salary. No sick days. No "I'll get to it Monday."

Just you, your phone, your car, and the crushing awareness that if a deal falls apart tomorrow, so does your mortgage payment.

But yeah. Easy job.
