Picture of the day: Had a great time this morning at the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce's Morning Mingle hosted by April Sound Country Club. We did table commercials, and this was ours.
The Home That Started It All
Once upon a recent Tuesday, a hopeful homebuyer decided it was finally time to put down roots. They picked up the phone and called Tony with TCB Realty Group — a local legend known for making real estate feel less like a root canal and more like a victory lap.
Tony got to work immediately, connecting them with Shawn at Woodforest National Bank in Conroe for financing. Shawn, a mortgage magician in khakis, made the lending process smoother than a buttered slip 'n slide.
Next, the buyer needed a Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection, so Tony sent them to Fred at Bill Clark Pest Control, Inc. - the Bugsperts, Fred showed up with a flashlight, a clipboard, and zero tolerance for termites. The house passed inspection, and the buyer got the keys.
Cue the confetti… and the catastrophe.
Just days after moving in, a water pipe burst like it had a personal vendetta. The house flooded. The buyer, panic-stricken but resourceful, called Rick at Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Greater Houston-North. Rick swooped in like a soaked superhero and dried the place out.
To cover the damage, they rang up Kyle Yeary First Insurance Services - Montgomery, Texas, who handled the claim with the calm efficiency of a man who’s seen everything.
But the ordeal wore Rick out. After dealing with so many disasters — both water-based and otherwise — he decided it was time for a new chapter. So, he called Dan at Sunbelt Business Brokers to help him sell his business and finally retire.
All because someone bought a house.
