I had the opportunity today to speak on a global webinar about something I’m really passionate about—elevating education in ultrasound.

There is such a gap between what we are capable of as sonographers… and the education and support we’re given.

And that gap impacts patient care.

This is why I’m so passionate about advancing education and building the Advanced Practice Sonographer role.

We have the ability to change outcomes—if we’re given the tools and support to do it.

We have now spent two days dealing with delays on our American Airlines flight.
Delayed all day yesterday. Fought for a hotel. Came back early this morning… delayed again.

This is the only flight out, and I’m trying to get to California for a professional residency. Instead, my family is stuck in airports wondering if we’ll even make it.

For a multi-billion-dollar airline, this level of communication and reliability is unacceptable.

First time flying American. Possibly the last.

Hi everyone! I spend a lot of time networking and learning on LinkedIn, and I’m constantly inspired by the amount of education and support being shared in the ultrasound community. It’s helped me grow so much in my own career, and I wanted to create a space where I could do the same for others.

My hope is to share helpful resources, educational pearls, and pieces of my own journey in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and advanced OB imaging. Whether you’re a student, a general sonographer wanting to learn more OB, or someone already working in MFM, I hope you’ll find something here that helps you grow.

Bio:
I’m a Maternal-Fetal Medicine sonographer with over two decades in ultrasound, and high-risk OB is where I truly found my heart. After helping build a fetal medicine program and now working in a rural community, I’ve seen firsthand how important education and access to care really are.

I’m currently part of a pilot Perinatal Advanced Practice Sonographer program and am passionate about helping shape the future of this role. I created this page to share what I’m learning along the way, along with tips, resources, and encouragement for anyone who loves OB ultrasound as much as I do.
