I started my day with some berry picking. After that I went for a drive down to Chitina. Always a beautiful drive. I thought I would share some of the pictures today. You'll be seeing these as I continue to do my daily posts. The pictures you see (other than Funny Friday's which are AI posts), are all my photos from around Alaska. Occasionally I'll use a picture from someone else, but will credit them. Enjoy some of our beauty!!

My family goes to this event every year. The kids have so much fun and the vendors are great. We are so blessed to have an electric company that supports the community in such a variety of ways.

Yup, that's about right!

🗻❄️ Alaska Officials Confirm The State Has Four Seasons — Winter, Winter, Summer, And “Wait… Is That Fall?” 😂🐻

According to the unofficial Alaska seasonal calendar, spring shows up just long enough to melt the snow before everyone starts preparing for summer.

🌸 Spring lasts approximately a few weeks.
The snow begins disappearing, wildflowers return, rivers open up, and wildlife starts becoming much more active. Moose are everywhere, the days get longer, and Alaskans finally get to see the ground again. 😂

Then comes summer. ☀️🏔️
And Alaska makes the most of it.

Long daylight hours, hiking, fishing, camping, boating, mountain views, wildlife, and sunsets that seem to last forever. 🌲🦅🎣

Then comes fall. 🍂
Beautiful golden tundra, colorful forests, crisp air, and mountains covered in early snow.

The problem?

It doesn’t stay long. 😂

Then comes winter. ❄️🥶
Snow, ice, freezing temperatures, snowmobiles, dark mornings, and enough cold to make your car question whether it wants to start.

It's a beautiful winter wonderland this morning! We received about 4 inches with yesterday's snow. It won't last long, it's supposed to get up to 45 today and be above freezing tonight. But it sure does look pretty while it lasts! Have a blessed day!
