The MSSOA Annual Conference is headed to Branson, and Absolute Storage Management is excited to be part of it.

When one self-storage company makes headlines, the conversation rarely stays limited to that one company. It affects how customers, lawmakers and the public view our entire industry.
The concerns raised in this article point to one responsibility that touches every part of the customer experience: transparency.

The self-storage business is largely built around month-to-month rental agreements. That flexibility provides real value to customers, but it also creates an important responsibility for operators: transparency.
Revenue management is a necessary part of operating a successful storage property. Market conditions change, occupancy fluctuates and rental rates may adjust over time. The question is not whether rates will ever change. It is whether customers clearly understand the terms of their rental and how changes will be communicated.
Customers should know:
• What they are paying today
• That their rental rate may change in the future
• How and when they will be notified
• What fees, policies, and expectations will apply throughout their tenancy
Clear communication helps customers make informed decisions. It reduces surprises, strengthens relationships and protects the trust that is essential in a month-to-month business.
