And just like that... another school year is in the books and Summer is officially here! βοΈ
I truly donβt know where the time goes.
π Luc is wrapping up 5th grade and what an incredible year it has been. He absolutely crushed every spelling test this year, grew so much in writing and English, and worked incredibly hard to improve his math skills. His Capstone Project on the Colosseum sparked a love for ancient history, and he learned so much about Greek and Roman civilizations. One of his favorite experiences was visiting AFF to create and manufacture his own drink, then sharing it with friends and classmates during Market Day. Watching him grow into such a thoughtful, hardworking, funny, and kind young man has been one of my greatest joys.
π Christian is finishing 2nd grade and continues to amaze me every day. He excelled in math and reading this year, developed a real love for books (especially Magic Tree House), and completed an awesome Capstone Project on the evolution of the telephone. He has such a big personality, keeps us laughing constantly, and has the sweetest heart.
Outside of school, these boys stayed busy too.
π Hockey continues to be a huge part of their lives, and watching their confidence, skills, and teamwork grow this year has been so rewarding.
π₯ They both continued their karate journey, showing discipline, determination, and perseverance every step of the way.
ποΈ And Lucβs Trash Services kept growing as well, adding three more clients this year, with Christian always ready to help his big brother along the way.
We chose a hybrid homeschool, charter, and enrichment path because we wanted flexibility, opportunities, and room for them to grow in their own ways. This year reminded me exactly why we made that choice.
I am so proud of these boys, not just for what they accomplished, but for who they are becoming.
Bring on Summer adventures and then somehow... 6th grade and 3rd grade. β€οΈ
