This one was a full circle moment.

I helped my seller purchase this cabin years ago, and when it came time to sell, it had already been on the market for a few months with another agent who truly is great but it just wasn’t getting the traction it deserved.

The biggest issue? This cabin had incredible income numbers, and those numbers were not being front and center in the marketing.

As an Airbnb host, I’ve seen a little bit of everything - damages, extra cleaning, ruined towels, and even a guest who decided vacation was the perfect time to dye their hair.

But this one has me truly flabbergasted.

A guest left the front door at our chalet open with a bowl of honey sitting inside… in Gatlinburg… in bear country. 🐻🍯

Thankfully, the honey was untouched and no bears came inside.

But feeding bears, tempting bears, or inviting bears inside? Absolutely not. That is how cabins get damaged, guests get scared, and bears get put in danger.

The Smokies are magical, but let’s not send the bears a dinner invitation.
