On September 26, 2024, Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Big Bend area of the Florida Gulf Coast as a Category 4 storm. Its largest impacts were felt across the southern Appalachians, where unprecedented flooding occurred, resulting in hundreds of fatalities and billions of dollars in property damage. The storm also brought strong wind gusts that damaged homes and infrastructure, downing trees and power lines from the Gulf Coast all the way to the North Carolina mountains.
We are reaching out to you to help support those devastated by this catastrophic event. We have launched this GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $5,000 for KW Cares, our non-profit charity dedicated to providing critical relief to individuals and families affected by crises like Hurricane Helene.
