What started as "just putting the grill back" somehow involved an excavator.

At this point, I've stopped asking questions.

The grill is fixed, reinstalled, and ready for guests. Casey continues to prove that he can break absolutely anything... and somehow fix it better than before. 🤣

Breaking News: Water Balloons Have Been Officially Added to My List of Enemies..

If anyone in your group suggests bringing water balloons to your Airbnb, the answer is always "No".

Today I spent over an hour wandering around one of our properties picking up hundreds of confetti sized water balloon pieces from the grass, landscaping, and woods.

Needless to say, I was not exactly living my best life out there playing a real-life Easter egg hunt for rubber fragments.

So here's your friendly vacation reminder: memories are great, water balloons are NOT. 😂

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me why I love this business.

📲 5 new bookings
📩 Several inquiries across our properties
📈 And apparently the booking algorithms decided to be my friend for a day.

Whether it's our cabins in Red River Gorge, our Northern Kentucky rentals, or our Florida properties, there's always a little bit of luck mixed with a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Photos, pricing, responding to messages, updating listings, marketing, reviews, and constantly tweaking things to stay visible in a very crowded market.

Some days it's quiet. Some days your phone won't stop buzzing.

Yesterday was one of the good ones.

To everyone who booked, shared a post, recommended us to a friend, or simply follows along with our little family business, thank you. We appreciate every single reservation and inquiry more than you know.

Now excuse me while I spend today answering messages and trying to convince the algorithms to do it again. 😆

One thing we really enjoy doing around the property is finding ways to reuse materials that are already here.

When we started planning the new path down to the pond, we used logs from trees that had been taken down on the property to create the actual steps. Instead of hauling everything away, we were able to give those trees a second purpose, and I absolutely love the natural look it created.

We also divided and transplanted plants from some of our other properties to start landscaping along the path. Right now it's definitely in the "trust the process" stage, but it's exciting to see it starting to come together.

I can't wait to see what this path looks like in a year or two once everything fills in and gets established.

Sometimes the best projects are the ones that take a little patience. 🌿
