Plants and lighting are in, with one final step remaining—the privacy fence to screen the pool equipment. What was once unused space is now a grand rear entrance that will only get better as the landscape matures.

A question from a follower that some of you may not know the answer to:

"How did you come up with the name Head Light Landscape Construction?"

I was born and raised in Portland, Maine, and the name comes from Portland Head Light.

To me, a lighthouse represents everything a business should be. No matter how bad the storm gets, the light stays on. It's a point of reference for people coming and going, and even when you can't see the light, the foghorn is there to guide you.

That's how I've always wanted to run my business—be reliable, be consistent, and help guide clients through their projects from start to finish.

One thing I’ve learned in business is that good relationships matter. The work has to be good, obviously. But answering the phone, being honest, communicating, and treating our clients and our partners right goes a long way.

A lot of our work comes from repeat clients and referrals, and that doesn’t happen by accident.

Today was a perfect example of that. Our relationship with New England Specialty Stone is solid and they always do the right thing which ultimately helps our clients! When a wrong pallet was delivered they sent an empty truck across state lines on a Friday afternoon. Now that is service!!

What a great relaxing long weekend. It’s even better when supporting entrepreneurs and their businesses. I sure know how hard it can be to take the leap and make your dream a reality. If you are on little Sebago Lake this summer- make sure to get an Ice Cream from The Good Ship. Not only is it refreshing but they sell t***s ice cream - another local business. My son sure loved it 😊 . - Brandon
