I have a husband who can do it all.
Sometimes I take that for granted. I’ll ask him to fix this, or build that, or figure out something-or-another—and I don’t pause to realize how amazing it is that he has such a wide range of skills.
We haven’t had to call a repair man of any kind in years. If one of our appliances stops working, he can usually get it going again with a few twists of his screwdriver.
When a project needs done around the house or yard, he’s on it. Building furniture, landscaping our yard, installing electrical fixtures, you name it.
What he doesn’t know, he can figure out with a YouTube video or a little trial and error. He picks new things up so easily and remembers every detail of everything.
His hands are calloused and usually dirty. His work jeans and shirts are always stained, and his cap could use a good scrub.
He prioritizes our family in the midst of his own responsibilities. He shows up to our kids’ school functions, and he’s never too busy to play catch or spend time with the kids.
When I run around like a tornado he’s there next to me, to help me.
He never complains, he just rolls up his sleeves and does the thing that needs to be done. (Seriously, I have yet to discover something this man can’t do.)
He’s the strongest, most capable, most gentle human I know.
With him, I always feel safe. I always feel cared for. And I always know he has my back.
I just want to say thank you Jorge L. Cruz❤️
