"When money been calling you all year but you're a transaction coordinator."

Real estate has been slow for a lot of us but I'm fortunate to have clients who kept me on their team when others were trimming the fat. 🥹

This is my second year mailing out EOY letters on the behalf of my clients. and with every paper cut I catch I am reminded how blessed I am to be here when this was just a dream two years ago.

I'm in the process of rewording some transaction email templates and I'm struggling on how much personality to put into it. 🤔

Over the last year I learned from that people will read long emails—as long as they're not BORING. 🥱

In fact the #1 email I get a lot of replies on is where I sign off with dad joke about a cop pulling over a U-Haul because he thinks he's trying to bust a move.(Trust me. It's funnier in the email. Especially since I'm sending them a moving checklist.)

Real Estate can be soooo stressful and I'm just trying to ease the tension by giving my agent's clients a little chuckle so they enjoy the process.

Because let's be honest. I'm not the most button up person.

So tell me. Do you enjoy business emails that make you chuckle or just stick to the facts?

This was the first thought I had this morning when I came across Facebook post this morning at her home office as I was recalling my memories of mixer last night.

Lawd I'm so fortunate to have women that look like me in my community showing me that success is possible with hard work and determination. 🙌🏾

No filters.
No false dreams.
No get rich quick schemes.

Just realistic and that's refreshing.

When I was reading on Women involvement in the improvement of Labor laws each articles breeze over these former slaves that were now washer women. And when I said breeze over I mean MAX or 2 sentences.

I took it up on myself to look for this story and came across Donna Patricia Ward's article on History Collection. I was amazed at these women (and a few men) strength and determination to understood the power of numbers. They came together demanded what was fair— way before Labor Day.

Before you go shopping take a moment to learn something new about the development of our labor laws and regulations that was have today.
Because those who don't know tend to repeat.

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.

And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking.

Don't settle.

As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it."

The Real Estate rule I love to break is the professional way to email.

Why break this rule?

Because you're one of the cool kids, and breaking the rules is *fun!*

Kidding!! I mean, you definitely are a cool kid. But there's an actual method and reason behind why you should break this rule from time to time:

Real estate is already stressful for buyers and sellers, let alone those of us in the back group juggling different addresses in their head. I love being that one moment to make someone smile and laugh to ease the tension and enjoy the journey to achieving the . So time to time instead of sending a borning email reminding buyers to set up their utilities I’ll throw in this corney joke.

“I saw a cop pulling over a UHAUL today. He must be trying to bust a move " It's definitely a fan favorite.

Go ahead! Give it a try for yourself and break this rule. Let me know what happens!

(Unless you get in trouble...in which case, you didn't hear *any* of this from me.) 😆

This morning will be spent catching up with yesterday's emails. So far they're all looking like this. anyone? 🥴

How to know if you *really* love your job (two signs):

✨ Some days, you find yourself having *pinch-me, I-can’t-believe-this-is-real-life, fuzzy feel-good* moments at your desk.

✨ Other days, you want to pull an Office Space, destroy your computer, quit your job, and move off-grid to become a goat farmer. But, you don’t.

Because even on the bad days, you can think of:

✨ Clients who you love helping move to the next chapter in life and share a mutual respect with.

✨ Wicked-cool networking event to meet new clients and that make the hours fly by.

So, you persevere. Even when goat farming starts to sound pretty damn good. Because when you picture yourself doing something other than the work you’re in, you can’t imagine your life without it.

So be honest with me do you love your job? Share what you do in the comments !

Has anyone told you that you missed your window on creating a wildly successful real estate business? I call BS! It's never too late.

Just like it’s never too late to jump into being a transaction coordinator.

If that’s you, here’s what I wish someone told (younger) me when I was starting out as a real estate .

Maybe it’ll help you navigate things better than I did at first!

1️⃣ Serve your clients really well. Do NOT overpromise and underdeliver! It’s better to be very mindful of what you have the capacity for and deliver exactly that.

I’d rather have someone meet the mark every time than be all over when it comes to deadlines and deliverables. For example - I do not write offers for my clients. Yes I lost polential clients but I gain my dream clients who write their own.

2️⃣ Find the niche you love. There are different kinds of transaction coordinators. It’ll help you narrow in your focus (Whole Sell TC, FSBO TC, etc.) and get really good at something so you can eventually underpromise and overdeliver.

3️⃣ Make relationships with other transaction coordinartors and people that have complementary roles. Building up your referral network will be so helpful! (It’s how I built my business so quickly)

At the end of the day, it isn’t too late to jump into *anything* as long as it makes you happy.

If you have questions about what it’s like to be a real estate transaction coordinator, leave them in the comments or DM me! I’m happy to answer them for you!

Some days, creativity flows like Picasso from these hands.🎨

Other days? Creativity has left the building.

No, scratch that. Creativity screamed "I quit!", booked a one-way ticket out of the country, and is never coming back.

👋🏽✈️

Can you relate?

That's the real kick in the pants about being creative. You won't always *feel* creative on the days when you're supposed to show up and make stuff.

And if anyone says they never feel zapped of their creative juices, don't believe them. It happens to *EveRyBodY!*

Here are a few tricks that work for me when I need to get back into that creative zone:

⚡ I turn on music. I don't know why, but background noise helps me find my groove.
⚡ I move my office. Sometimes working in a coffee shop vs. at home does the trick.
⚡ I give myself permission to suck. Just letting that sh*tty first draft come out so it’s out of the way usually does wonders.

What about you? What tricks do you have for finding your creativity on the days when you're not feeling it?

What tricks, tips, hacks, or advice do you have for finding your creativity on the days when you're just not feeling it?

In case you haven’t heard it yet today, it’s okay to not be okay. AND things will be okay again in the future.

Because I don’t know much, but I do know that what goes up must come down. So surely what’s down will go up again.

The trick is not to get stuck.😵💫 (Easier said than done sometimes, I know!)

But remember: things will eventually feel less sticky and be okay again.

Here’s a roadmap I use to navigate to the other side when things get tricky and sticky:

First I take a moment and acknowledge the feelings. If I need to cry it out you’re damn right I let the waterworks rip - Kim K. style. Sometimes that’s all it takes to get things moving again, honestly.

Once I’ve done that, I remind myself I’m no punk, think ‘What would do, and think of ways to flip this in my favor. Taking action is my favorite way to get out of a funk.

Sometimes just those small actions are all it takes to break free and help you see that things will work out.

If you’re feeling not okay today, that’s okay! It’ll get better! My question to you is… what emoji would describe your current mood?
