Tiles have long been a preferred choice of material for floors, backsplashes, and bathrooms because they are easy to maintain and generally water-resistant. Unfortunately, they are also the most susceptible to grout dirt buildup. 🦠

To stay on top of cleaning grouts in your apartment, try these 5 tips:

✅ Spray dirty grouts with warm water and brush in circles using a nylon brush or an old toothbrush to soften the mildew and grime. When finished, wipe the grime away with a cleaning rag. 💧

✅ Clean sealed grouts by spraying a balanced mixture of warm water and vinegar. After letting the solution sit for 5 minutes, scrub the grime away using a small brush. 🧪

✅ Because of its mildly abrasive characteristics, a paste solution made of baking soda and water can also be used to fully remove dirt and grime within sealed grouts. 💡

✅ For tough grout stains, apply a mixture of 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide, 1/2 cup of baking soda, and a teaspoon of dish soap. After letting it sit for 5-10 minutes, use a toothbrush or nylon brush to scrub away the dirt and rinse with water. 👩‍🔬

✅ Depending on the type of grout, you can use a standard grout cleaner to clear dirt from grout lines. 🧠
