1️⃣ Ignore my credit report. Before looking at homes, I’d check my credit and create a plan with a lender to make getting approval easier.

2️⃣ Spend my savings before closing. Buying furniture before closing? Big mistake. Your lender is watching your finances until the keys are in your hand.

3️⃣ Assume I need 20% down. A lot of buyers qualify with WAY less down than they think using FHA or USDA loans.

Buying sooner may be more possible than you think. Most first-time buyers aren’t as far away from homeownership as they believe. The biggest problem? Bad information.
