I walked into this house last week & immediately thought… “If these walls could talk.”
I took a client to see 4611 Kelton in Dallas today, and this is one of those homes that is hard to put into words.
Built around 1880, the F.A. Brown Farmstead was once part of a 200-acre farm and is considered one of Dallas' oldest surviving farmhouses. Today, it's tucked away on less than half an acre, right in the middle of the city.
And the history is in the details…
✨ Original wood floors
🔥 7 fireplaces
🚪 Original doors and hardware
🛁 A clawfoot tub
🌳 A little piece of old Dallas that somehow survived as the city grew around it
It's also a Dallas Landmark, which means it cannot simply be torn down and replaced with something new. Whoever takes this one on isn't just buying a house — they're becoming the next steward of a piece of Dallas history.
And honestly… I'm curious what YOU think.
Would you take on a historic home like this and restore it? Or would the thought of owning a home with this much history terrify you? 😂
👇 Tell me: RESTORE IT or TOO MUCH WORK?
And if you're curious about the history of this home, its current status, or what it would take to bring it back to life, DM me. I'd love to tell you more.
