Hello my fellow real estate agents! This is a friendly reminder to start working on your Salesperson Annual Education (SAE) requirements if you’re approaching your 2-year license renewal window. The SAE ensure agents stay knowledgeable in an ever evolving market so clients are properly taken care of to avoid costly mistakes. I suggest starting early so you don’t feel stressed and rushed.
Many clients have a misconception that being a REALTOR® is an easy job that we are being overpaid to do but that is far from the truth. We have many duties and responsibilities behind the scenes that the average person are unaware of. We pay out of pocket for everything such as professional photography to ensure your home looks picture perfect for listings, paying for staging to brighten up the home to create more appeal, continuing education, and not to mention a plethora of maintenance expenses. I hope this small breakdown of some of our reoccurring expenses can shed light on why demanding discounts on our commissions is not only unfair but also selfish.
