Buying a home is, indeed, a huge financial decision. That's the easy part to point out, but it's also an emotional one. I can support you with online calculators and other resources to tell you whether you're financially set, but my thing is people. What is your emotional side of buying a home? Let's not over look that!
If you're in a constant battle between renting or buying, think about these things below
1. Are you ready for the commitment? Buying is a long term decision than renting, so please be sure you're ready to nest for at least a couple of years.
2. Do you desire privacy? If you fear the restless nights from your noisy neighbors and have no place to enjoy your own space, it may be time to buy.
3. Are you content with your job? The biggest mistake you can make is changing your job during the buying process. Lenders want to see stability.
4. Is your debt-to-income ratio in a healthy place? Getting your debt under control before purchasing is always the wise decision.
5. Do you "want to" buy a home? Never make this long term decision because you feel cornered by others. You have to know what's best for you. Understand your own desires.
Becoming a Homeowner is all in your confidence and knowledge. I'd love to chat about what you're thinking and give you insight on the neighborhoods you're loving!
