If McKinney is on your DFW shortlist, there are a few things I want you to know before you start falling in love with houses.

The ISD boundary situation is more complicated than most people realize — a McKinney mailing address does not automatically mean McKinney ISD. Some neighborhoods on the west side feed Frisco ISD or Prosper ISD instead. And the price in a new construction brochure is almost never the price you'll pay at closing.
