The services for fallen Dallas Firefighter Ted Carpenter is still ongoing and is expected go past 1:00 pm.
Following the service, a procession escorted by the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire Department will travel:
- South on U.S. Highway 77
- West on U.S. Highway 287
- South on Interstate 35E
- West on FM 1446
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and avoid the area if possible while the procession is underway.

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, motorists should expect heavy traffic between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. due to the funeral services for fallen Dallas Firefighter Ted Carpenter at The Avenue Church (1761 N US HWY 77).
