Thank you, CBS News Texas, for telling Nia’s story and creating space to advocate for youth experiencing homelessness in North Texas. These stories matter. 💙

An organization is rushing to move young adults into emergency shelter beds as frigid temperatures settle over North Texas. One woman, now sharing a hotel room with another shelter resident, said she had no idea what to expect when she first sought help — whether she’d end up in a hotel, on cots...

I was looking at the 2025 DIFFA Apres- ski Wreath Event photos and noticed that our little Elevate wreath was one of eight featured on their main Instagram cover slide.
It was honor enough to hear that it was auctioned off for $500 that will go towards the Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids.

Elevate North Texas is deeply honored to have received the “Dennis & Judy Shepard Family Values Award” from the International Court System - International Court Council of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This recognition was presented to our Founder & Executive Director, Jason Vallejo, during the United Court of the Lone Star Empire’s check distribution event on Saturday night.

This award is an international honor administered by the International Court Council and presented by the Queen Mother, currently Empress Nicole the Great: Nicole Murray Ramírez.

It is awarded to LGBTQ+ organizations, PFLAG chapters, schools, and outstanding individuals whose work reflects the Shepards’ legacy of advocacy, acceptance, and compassion.

Following the tragic, anti-gay murder of their son Matthew Shepard in 1998, Judy and Dennis Shepard founded the Matthew Shepard Foundation to advance equality, social justice, and education around LGBTQ+ issues. To be recognized in connection with that legacy is profoundly meaningful to us.

Elevate North Texas is committed to continuing our mission to make North Texas a safe, supportive, and inclusive place for all youth experiencing homelessness.

We are also grateful to the United Court of the Lone Star Empire for their generous donation of $6,726. Your ongoing support strengthens our work and helps us uplift youth in our community. Thank you for believing in Elevate North Texas!

We work with Fosters and their stories are unfortunately nearly all the same. All they need is one person to tell them that they are important and be there to remind them when they need it the most.

TOGETHER AGAIN!!!
Elevate has a new partner with Dallas Pets Alive! We came across a youth that had a fur baby and did not want to part with him. We were not about to split up these two.
The search was on to find any program to assist us. Then we found Gillian Robles who is a part of PASS, which stands for Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender, and is a program by Dallas Pets Alive!
Gillian assisted us in a getting the very handsome Bombay kitty named "Dobby" temporary foster housing while Kayy his human was able to enter the Elevate program to complete her journey to housing.
Kayy has received her housing and was able to acquire documents to have Dobby as her (ESA) Emotional Support Animal.

Reunited and it feels so good!
