Nineteen years ago today, we watched in horror as the world was forever changed in a matter of minutes. And it doesn't matter if you weren't there, too little to remember, or not even born yet, this day, this piece of history - changed the world forever. It changed YOUR world forever. With each passing year, a greater portion of our nation has no lived memory of the attacks on September 11, 2001. Our children, and their children, will rely on the stories we tell to understand what happened and how it altered the world in which they live. It is our duty to tell the stories of the victims, those who survived, and those who responded, to engage and inspire the living.
On this day...19 years ago:
♥️ 246 people prepared for their morning flights
♥️ 2,606 people headed to work
♥️ 343 firefighters prepared for their morning shift
♥️ 60 police officers went to work for morning patrol
♥️ 8 paramedics started their morning shift of saving lives
💔 None of them took a breath past 10:00 A.M. on September 11, 2001
“No day shall erase you from the memory of time...”🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET
