As we all know, nothing in life is free. The current Administration is raising the costs again for homeownership in order to fund the Temporary Payroll Tax Cut effective APRIL 1, 2012!
This will have an impact on mortgage payments. Earlier this year the costs for conventional loans was increased to pay for the tax cut. Now HUD intends to release a mortgagee letter increasing the mortgage insurance premiums for FHA loans as well.
If you or your friends or family intend to take advantage of low interest rates to buy a home this Spring, it's best to do so in March before these changes take effect.

Craig Niebes was our realtor when we sold our home. He was referred to us by a couple who had recently used his services when they purchased their new home.

We were both very pleased with his service. He is very knowledgeable and up front with his business. We were aware of some updating we needed to do in order to make our house ready to put on the market. He walked through our house and gave us some suggestions that would make the house more "Joe Public" appealing. He suggested paint colors, furniture to remove and even which pictures to take down. We did not feel pressured by his suggestions.
We followed his suggestions and the first day our home was listed we had someone there to see it! Our house was on the market six weeks and we had an offer.
After the sale, he stood beside us to help work out a couple of issues with the buyers. These items were were not his responsibility. Since we had already moved from the area, he stepped in to help us out.
We are very fortunate that Craig was brought into our lives. We consider him not only our realtor but we have a friend too!
