PLANO “TRASH/RECYCLING/BULKY WASTE RESUME MONDAY 2/22/21”

Trash, Recycling and Bulky Waste Collections Resume Monday, Feb. 22

Cart and bulky waste collection services resume Monday, Feb. 22. Details below:

Trash - Carts and extra bags placed at your collection point will be picked up on your normal collection day. Do not stack bags on top of carts.

Recycling - Carts not collected the week of Feb. 15-18 will be serviced on your normal recycling day beginning Monday, Feb. 22. Recycling for the week of Feb. 22-25 will be collected on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27. Bags of extra recycling placed outside of the cart will be collected as trash. Please hold overflow recycling until the next scheduled recycling day if possible.

Bulky Waste - Suspended bulky waste collection will be picked up starting Monday, Feb. 22. Please place items out on Monday, Feb. 22. Bulky waste for the week of Feb. 22-25 will be collected as scheduled.

Yard Trimmings - Collection remain suspended through Thursday, Feb. 25.

MCKINNEY “BOTTLED WATER DISTRIBUTION” (Effective 2/19/21)

The City of McKinney has limited bottled water to distribute for free to residents currently without water at each library starting at noon, Feb. 19 until supplies run out.

Residents may also bring containers to collect free-flowing water at each location until 5 p.m.
• Roy & Helen Hall, 101 E. Hunt St. Small containers only.
• John & Judy Gay, 6861 W. Eldorado Pkwy. Large containers allowed.

*Never use a gas range or oven for heating. Using a gas range or oven for heating can cause a build up of CO inside your home.
*Never burn charcoal indoors. Burning charcoal – red, gray, black, or white – gives off CO.
*Never use a portable gas camp stove indoors. Using a gas camp stove indoors can cause CO to build up inside your home.
*Never use a generator inside your home, basement, or garage or less than 20 feet from any window, door, or vent.
*Never run your car or truck inside a garage that is attached to a house even with the garage door open.
