Ok y’all, it’s been awhile since I last posted anything on social media, but I’m back! I took some time away from social media this summer to travel and be present with my kids. I was still very busy in the real estate world, and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things!!

Here were two closings I had with the same incredible couple I was fortunate enough to help in the late spring/summer! I helped them sell their house in Forney at the same time they were purchasing a new home in Lake Highlands. We sold their home in 4 days, and navigated a dual property contingency situation with very few hiccups and relatively no issues! Congrats to my new friends on the sale of their home (with multiple offers) and the new home closer to their family!!

Ok y’all, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything on my Insta, but as they say, “better late than never”. Congrats to my sellers in Farmers Branch on the quick sale of their house! I helped the owners buy this property a few years ago, and now they are on to their next chapter of life!

I am proud to say that this house was only on the market for 4 days before going under contract. The average time a house sits on the market in this neighborhood and area is 26 days, so we continue to put pace the market and deliver wins for our home sellers!

Spring is around the corner, and the real estate market will undoubtedly be faster paced and competitive than in recent years due to declining interest rates and home inventory levels.

Just last year, the number of homes for sale in the DFW metroplex increased from approx 42,000 to 53,000 from February to May! Currently, there are just under 41,000 homes available for sale, so now is the time to “beat the spring market rush”. A year ago, mortgage interest rates were hovering around 6.80%, and currently they are around 6.10% and dropping!

If interest rates keep dropping or fall below 5%, we will see a frenzy of buyer hit the market and add more competition for home purchases. Now is the time to get ahead of the curve and make a move. As a local Dallas Realtor, I try to take my job seriously and continually strive to be a neighborhood expert! Part of being a neighborhood expert means knowing as much current information on local schools and educational opportunities for the community.

Over the last year or so, I’ve taken time to visit and tour as many public school options within Dallas ISD for my East Dallas neighbors! In addition, I’ve gotten involved with many of the schools as a community member and sit on several SBDM boards at schools within the Woodrow Wilson High School feeder pattern.

Most recently, I’ve visited a few magnet schools, with William B. Travis Talented And Gifted Vanguard And Academy being the latest one I got to tour in person! I’m super grateful to everyone who contributed money to my fundraiser to help Oran Roberts Elementary with various school events over the past few months! We raised $850, including donations from my East Dallas Equity Initiative.

I’m thankful my partnership with the school, and our continued collaboration to help at-risk and socio-economically challenged student populations. Oran Roberts is one of 6 elementary schools I help within the Woodrow Wilson High School feeder pattern. Thank you to Prinicpal Bayson for being such a great partner in this endeavor!

I want to continue to give back to my community and give more money which to these schools, so please keep supporting my East Dallas Equity Initiative. I take portions of my real estate closings and put 100% of that money right back into schools with specific needs, based on information gathered through my volunteer work with the schools and their SBDM committees.

Thank you again for your support and thank you again to those who donated money to this fundraiser! None of this would be possible with you guys!
