As a home inspector, it's always a surprise what awaits at each home. Today, I inspected a crawlspace that was remarkably well-maintained. Finished with concrete flooring and operational drains, it resembled a garage. I had the luxury of using an automotive creeper to move around effortlessly... BEST CRAWLSPACE EVER!!!

Good morning everybody I hope your week is going great.
Today I'd like to talk about moisture in a crawl space.
I've been asked this multiple time from clients. "Is moisture in a crawlspace a deal breaker????"
Every crawlspace is going to have moisture. Some have excess moisture and need to be addressed but they ALL have moisture...
Moisture in a cross space is absolutely normal. Mold in a crawlspace normally signs that there may be too much moisture/ Humidity. Just because you have mold in your crawlspace it still does not mean it's a deal breaker. Most mold and moisture in crawlspace are treatable. Contact a crawlspace specialist to come in and evaluate the circumstances.

The 1916 Sears catalog home…..

They shipped the entire house to you by railroad car. Sears was like Ikea before Ikea.

Friends and family would come from all around to help the owner build it.

Sears sold more than 70,000 mail-order homes between 1908 and 1940. Some enthusiasts
estimate that about 70% of Sears houses are still standing today.

Sears provided building plans and specifications, along with the lumber and any other materials
needed. The shipment included everything from nails, screws, and paint to prebuilt building parts, such as staircases and dining nooks.

Hello I hope everyone is having a great start to the week.
I've received multiple questions on my thermal imaging. So just to clarify my home Inspection pricing is based off of square footage. You pay one price and that covers the whole home which includes thermal imaging. I don't charge extra if you have a crawlspace.
We also don't charge more for thermal imaging. I charge one price to Inspect from the roof to the crawlspace. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me anytime.

Hello everyone, Eagle Eye Tennessee Home Inspection now offers thermal imaging included in inspection. This is a great tool that will allow us to get a better idea of what's going on inside of the walls. It will allow us to see moisture leaks that you wouldn't normally be able to see. It will also allow us to identify where conditioned air is leaking from ductwork and in places where insulation is not efficient. This is a great tool to identify wiring that is insufficient and that could possibly cause issues later on down the road.
I am attaching some photos so everyone can get a better understanding on how this will help us serve our clients better In the inspections of their new home.
