🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
FLORIDA PROPERTY TAX RELIEF HEADS TO VOTERS!! Here is what you should know!

🚨‼️🚨‼️🚨‼️This does NOT eliminate property taxes altogether to $0.00 Taxes!

THINGS TO KNOW:

Right now, homeowners with a Homestead Exemption receive up to $50,000 off their taxable value. The first $25,000 applies to all property taxes, while the second $25,000 applies only to non-school taxes. School taxes are still paid on most of the property’s value.

The plan would gradually increase the homestead exemption:

• 2027 — exemption increases to $150,000
• 2028 — exemption increases to $250,000

School taxes would still apply to the full value of the home. The exemption mainly reduces the county/non-school portion of the tax bill.

Example:
• If a homesteaded home is worth $250,000, county taxes could potentially be reduced to zero, but school taxes would still be owed.
• If the home is worth $350,000, taxes would still apply to the amount above the exemption.

Supporters of the proposal believe homeowners need relief because property tax collections across Florida have grown significantly over the last several years. Opponents are concerned about how local governments may adjust budgets over time.
