It's June in DeBary, which means two things: afternoon rainstorms, and it's time to hit pause on the fertilizer. 🌦️

From June 1 through September 30, Volusia County's fertilizer ordinance prohibits the use of fertilizers containing nitrogen or phosphorus. With heavier rains, excess fertilizer can quickly wash from our yards into local waterways, where it contributes to pollution and harms the ecosystems we all enjoy.

Looking for something fun to do this June?

Join our friends at DeBary Hall Historic Site for a month full of outdoor adventures, story time fun, and opportunities to explore the beauty and history of our area.

🦅 Wing it Wednesday
Wednesday, June 3 at 8:30 a.m.
Take a guided bird walk through Green Springs Park and learn how to identify local birds by sight and sound while discovering the park’s history and cultural significance.

📖 Story Time at DeBary Hall
Friday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m.
Bring the little ones out for stories, songs, and activities during this free Kids Corner program designed for preschoolers, but open to all ages.

🚴 National Trails Day
Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon
Celebrate Florida’s trails with family-friendly activities, a guided bike ride, native plant walk, local vendors, and more. Free bike helmets will be available while supplies last.
