There are certain moments in life you never forget, and September 11, 2001 is one of mine.

I can still picture myself sitting in Spanish class, watching the news and trying to comprehend what was happening. The room, the television, the disbelief — even 25 years later, that memory has stayed with me.

At the time, I don’t think any of us could fully understand the magnitude of what we were witnessing or how much that day would change our country and so many lives forever.

Today, I find myself thinking about the nearly 3,000 people who left home that morning expecting it to be an ordinary Tuesday. I think about their families, the first responders who ran toward danger, and all of the people whose lives were forever changed.

And I remember how, in the midst of unimaginable tragedy, our country came together.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. And we never forget. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
