As a mom raising a child on the autism spectrum with ADHD, I've learned that sometimes we get so caught up in taking care of everyone else that we forget to take care of ourselves.

Between parenting, work, marriage, household responsibilities, and everything life throws our way, it's easy to become physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted.

But here's your reminder today. ❤️

🌻 It's okay to need a break.

💙 It's okay to feel overwhelmed.

💛 It's okay to ask for help.

💚 It's okay to have a hard day.

❤️ And it's okay to put yourself first sometimes.

Taking care of your mental health isn't selfish. It's necessary.

You don't have to be the perfect parent, spouse, or person. You just have to keep showing up, doing your best, and remembering that your needs matter, too.
