There’s something that happens when we spend too much time indoors. The world shrinks a little. The noise of screens and schedules fills the space where stillness used to live, and somewhere along the way, we forget what we’re missing.
Summer has a way of reminding us about this. The warmth on your face. The smell of pine or salt air or fresh-cut grass. A breeze off the water, wherever your water happens to be. Whether your version of the outdoors is an ocean shore, a mountain trail, a river bend, a lake at sunset, or a backyard under a wide-open sky, nature has a way of restoring something in us that we didn’t even know had been depleted.
Those who seem most at ease with themselves are often the ones who make time for the world outside their door. The outdoors doesn’t just refresh the body. It quiets the mind and fills the spirit.
This summer, may more time be found outside. Whatever that looks like, the world is waiting!
