**Great news for Florida homeowners!**
Today, Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Legislature passed the **Save Our Homes** constitutional amendment during a special session. This proposal will significantly increase the homestead exemption, providing meaningful property tax relief for primary residences across our state.
If approved by voters with 60% support in November, it would raise the non-school homestead exemption to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028 — potentially eliminating or sharply reducing non-school property taxes for many Florida families.
