On May 22, 1863, another Panorama was exhibited at Miller's Hall - this one was J. Incso Williams' Panorama of The Bible. Williams gained a reputation of a panoramist for his 1849 painting representing the creation to the fall of Babylon. This was the 2nd one he created (the first was destroyed by fire) - this one on 4,000 yards of canvas! Give J. Incso Williams a google - he is from near Dayton, lived in Ohio for a number of years and painted 3 well known Panorama's - all widely exhibited.

What a fun group to tour around the building! Thank you Main Street Delaware, Inc. for adding us as a stop!

Advertisements for entertainment on this day in 1859 in the Delaware Gazette - Templar Hall (17 N Sandusky) had a humorist scheduled for the next evening and at our Miller's Hall a musical concert was to take place on the 19th. John S Porter was a musician from Boston who was a music leader that traveled with Mr. and Mrs. JC Woods directing a choir of about 25 voices. Interestingly, the 3 of them were hired by the First Church on Broad Street in Columbus as the organist and music directors in the early 1860's where they worked through the decade.
