Happy National Dog Day! 🐾
Nero, Trinket, Buddy, and all the Nookhaven pups are proof that dogs are just as much a part of our team as any of us. So this year, we wanted to use the day to celebrate the people doing the real work: the rescues and shelters who show up for dogs when they need it most.
Six Colorado organizations, six different ways of showing up:
🐾 — keeping Huskies and Malamutes out of shelters
🐾 — giving senior dogs (and cats) a soft place to land
🐾 — ending pet homelessness in Colorado since 1910
🐾 — tackling pet overpopulation through spay/neuter and adoption
🐾 — rescuing animals from high-kill shelters and abuse
🐾 — finding Boxers their people since 1972
To these six, and every rescue doing this work: thank you! If you're thinking about adding a dog to your family, a rescue is a great place to start. 🐾
