Plan A Nudist City

Plan A Nudist City Tossing around ideas about how to build naked spaces and communities virtually or in "real life".

Only by coming together and assimilating our ideas is this possible. The more nudists who come together, the more feasible this becomes.

I acknowledge that this page has not been very active. But I would like to let everyone know that I am still working on this project.

I am currently updating the structure of the database of the website. Databases are the heart of modern websites and good design requires that the site be centered around its database.

When ready, the Nudists United Network website will provide the tools to help large numbers of nudists combine their skills to engineer the development of a nudist city and build the companies that will provide jobs and revenue.

A nudist city would, legally speaking, have to exist as a private community. If at least until public attitudes change, leading to relaxation of laws. But a private city cannot fund public services with taxation.

It's possible that a libertarian financial model would be the only option for funding services usually handled by the local government. For example, security officers would take the role of police officiers.

For these services to be funded, the city government would rely on donations. A donation based funding system would make the city more democratic, because each citizen is choosing to fund the local institutions.

What do you think is the ideal population density for a nudist city? If it's too high, then quality of life suffers due to overcrowding. If it's too sparse, then the total population is smaller, which could have economic ramifications. Additionally a low density can result in long travel times.

The inaccessibility of nudism is why we want a nudist city.

I am in the process of summarizing a large conversation on this topic, but have been limited by a lack of free time.

But this page will start getting content in the future.

Dear Fellow Naturist Organizations:
As you may be aware, there have been at least 8 arrests near Blind Creek Beach in the past week. Our main parking lot has been closed for construction since January. Beachgoers were advised to park 1 mile north at the Little Mud parking area, and then to walk 3/4 mile south to the designated clothing-optional area. As the months went on, naturist beachgoers slowly migrated outside of the clothing-optional area and settled themselves at the Little Mud beach area. This practice was mostly ignored by the Sheriff's deputies until they got a few complaints around the end of August. We were given warning that they were going to start issuing citations if people didn't move south to the designated clothing-optional area. For many weeks, the deputies were on the beach asking people to move. Then on October 25th, they struck. Six people were arrested on October 25th, and another two on October 29th. All of the people were cited for 800.03: Indecent Exposure of Sexual Organs. The Sheriff's department put their mugshots on their page. This was picked up by the local media and the unfortunate arrestees were shown on television.

Obviously, this is horrible publicity for the naturist movement and even more horrifying to the victims of the arrests. We want to do everything possible to assure that nobody else gets arrested.

As such, we are asking for your assistance. If you have social media pages, we ask that you post this message:

ATTENTION BLIND CREEK BEACH USERS:
NUDITY IS NOT PERMITTED AT THE LITTLE MUD BEACH AREA. ARRESTS FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE HAVE BEEN MADE!
The Blind Creek Beach parking area has been closed most of 2025 for construction. During this time, beachgoers are instructed to park one mile north at the Little Mud parking area and then walk 3/4 mile south to the designated clothing-optional area. In the last week, multiple people have been arrested for indecent exposure at the Little Mud beach area and had their pictures posted on the St Lucie County Sheriff's social media pages. Please walk to the designated area before disrobing!

If you are a landed club with a bulletin board, there is a flyer attached with the same message that could be printed and posted.

We very much appreciate your support in this matter!

With warm regards,

The idea of planning a nudist city originated as a chat with 55 contributors. This starter financial model with interconnecting earth block (ICEB) development is a product of that conversation. ICEBs are a material that allows houses to be built significantly cheaper than those seen on the traditional market, which makes developing a nudist city more feasible.

Here is a break down of different tiers of options:

Phase 1: Pilot Village (50–100 homes)

Inputs
- Founders’ capital: $500,000 (mix of investors + crowdfunding)
- Land: $200,000 (cheap rural land, 200–500 acres)
- Semi-auto CEB press: $7,500
- Support equipment (mixers, sifter, small loader, curing yard): $15,000
- Initial utilities setup (solar, water storage, septic): $100,000
- Legal/admin/startup costs: $50,000

Total Phase 1 Investment: ~$372,500 (round to $375k)

Outputs
- Semi-auto press → 25–40 homes/year
- Build 50 homes in ~2 years
- Avg. cost per home (materials + share of infrastructure): ~$20k
- Sell/lease homes at $30k–$40k each → $1.5M–$2M revenue

✅ Break-even in ~3 years. Surplus funds go into scaling.

Phase 2: Small Town Expansion (500 homes)

Inputs
- Upgrade to 1 fully automatic press ($30k) or add 2 semi-auto presses
- Support equipment: $100k (bigger loader, larger curing yards, storage sheds)
- Utilities expansion: $500k (microgrid solar, larger water systems, sewage)
- Community infrastructure: $300k (roads, communal showers, stores, schools)
- Additional land: $300k

Total Phase 2 Investment: ~$1.2M

Outputs
- 1 fully auto press → 60–100 homes/year
- Build 500 homes in ~6–8 years (or faster with 2 presses)
- Avg. cost per home (all-in): $15k–$18k
- Sell/lease at $35k–$50k → $17.5M–$25M revenue

✅ Surplus capital funds political lobbying, new infrastructure, and automation upgrades.

Phase 3: Nudist City Scale (5,000+ homes)

Inputs
- Buy 3 industrial presses ($70k each) = $210k
- Support yard + equipment: $500k
- Large-scale infrastructure (roads, hospitals, utilities, community centers): $10M
- Ongoing expansion of land + services

Total Phase 3 Investment: ~$12M

Outputs
- 3 industrial presses → 375–550 homes/year
- Build 5,000 homes in ~10–12 years
- Avg. cost per home: $12k–$15k
- Sell/lease at $40k–$60k → $200M–$300M revenue

✅ At this stage, the city is self-sufficient, profitable, and politically influential.

Key Takeaways

- Scalable model — start small (50 homes) with semi-auto, reinvest profits into industrial presses.
- Housing cost advantage — you can deliver homes at 25–40% of US market costs.
- Financial sustainability — every phase funds the next, avoiding over-reliance on outside investors.
- Political strategy — once the population reaches thousands, the community has leverage for nudity-friendly local laws.
