POV: The Amish crew showed up.

Their heathen driver dropped them off with a fully equipped spray foam rig, generator, air-conditioned spray suits, and enough gear to make you wonder if they’re insulating houses or launching satellites.

Then I noticed the mobile phone in the truck…

“Don’t worry, it’s strictly for business… and probably to let the horse know when they’re running late.”

These guys are absolutely knocking it out of the park.

This rain has been great for the farmers, but I can’t say the same for us construction guys. We’re thankful for it, but we’re definitely ready for it to pass so we can get back to work and keep pushing these houses along.

The city crew came out today to open up ditches, install culverts, and clean up a large stump in front of our spec homes.

I’ll be the first to admit, I wasn’t expecting to be impressed.

Most of the jokes about city workers involve holding a shovel and watching someone else work. But these guys were getting after it today. Backhoe running, dirt flying, and progress being made.

Credit where credit is due—it’s always good to see people take pride in their work and get the job done.

Progress is moving right along on our spec house. Today we’re knocking out the plumbing and electrical rough-in, one step closer to bringing this build to life. The work behind the walls may not be flashy, but it’s what makes a house function for years to come.
