I love letting things grow to seed and collecting those for future plantings. Every so often you get some really interesting varieties that pop up due to cross pollination. These have to be some of the biggest radish seed pods that I have ever seen. It’s the first time I’ve ever collected from kale.

Sold a house off of the east Bradford Trail to a client who didn’t want any neighbors. This family moved in next-door but he said he’s fine with some playful foxes as he’s a fun, loving single guy.

Wire mesh was installed to keep rabbits and groundhogs out.

The colors in the garden are popping. One of the nice things about companion plants is they usually have really nice blooms. I love the blue on the borage and I plant a ton of different marigolds and zinnias throughout the vegetable beds. By saving my seeds every year, I get funkier and funkier flowers as everything mixes.

Getting fruity around here. Paw paws , plums, apples, and pears. I credit my mom with the pears. Whenever I was a child and would come to her with a problem she would always tell me to go grow a pear. Not quite sure how it helps, but I’m still doing it.

Trellises are up for the peas and cucumbers. Went with bamboo over cattle panels as I would like to find something really unique and decorative for the long-term.

The black raspberries are ripe! Lots of nice flowers on the field walk this morning. This summer is supposed to be pretty brutal so I’m enjoying things is best I can now.

Front beds are almost done, just need to put a few gates up and get my arched trellis’s built. But the bulk of the heavy lifting is done and I am quite happy with the results.

Using a roofing torch to get rid of all of the weeds in the front sidewalk. It won’t kill the roots, but it gets rid of the greenery and gives me a clean sidewalk without chemicals or salting the Earth.
