We'll kick off the week today, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, with our regular Military Connected Monthly Mentorship Meetup , on 9 September, 2026 at 6:00 PM at STATION Austin at the Omni Downtown.

That is the smallest part of what a VA loan does for you.

Flexible underwriting can push your buying power up 40% on the same income. Disability income gets counted differently than on FHA. Your entitlement is not one and done, you can use it again after the first home.

Sometimes the biggest leap of faith starts with a video call.

For the past 4 months, this Marine veteran and his family searched for a home from Washington while preparing for their move to Central Texas. Every showing was virtual. Every decision was made from hundreds of miles away.

Closing day was the first time they ever stepped inside the home they chose.

The next morning, I received this text:

“Just wanted to give you a very big THANKS! Thank you for leading us through this whole process. Thanks for keeping the comms real.

We are home and very grateful. This house feels good and safe. Much appreciated!”

That says more than I ever could.

This wasn’t just a real estate transaction. It was veterans helping veterans through one of life’s biggest transitions. From the lender, rose_txvahomeloans , to the Realtor (me) every step was built on trust, communication, and looking out for a fellow service member and his family.

Most 21-year-olds are thinking about their next apartment.

Jacob had a different plan.

While earning his degree
at Texas A&M,
he worked, saved his money,
and stayed focused on one goal:
buying a home upon graduation.

People will see what happened in 60 days. What they won’t see are the
4 years of preparation, discipline,
and delayed gratification
that made those 60 days possible.

We originally looked for a fixer-upper, but after comparing the numbers,
a brand-new home in South Austin turned out to be the smarter investment.

Once we narrowed the search to the area that fit Abe’s commute, the process became much more focused.
