First of all Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend and get the opportunity to get out and enjoy the weather. This morning I took a short drive to Augusta WI to try a newly opened bistro style breakfast. They also have a dinner menu several days a week and a farmers market each Saturday at this same property. Whenever I try a new place if I know the owners or staff I come with no expectations and a open mind. This breakfast hit just a bit different. I was going to run with the Eggs benedict due to knowing the Chefs in the kitchen that would have been amazing as well. Instead I had the Chive Blossom Fishcakes with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. It was served with a bed of greens and lemon. Being somebody that was originally raised in Northern California, this reminded me of home and was a extremely memorable experience.
