I've been missing that farm life since I unwillingly left it in '21, and this month it has weighed more heavily on me.

So this morning, in between little hands in my oats and a mug of coffee, I pulled out my old seeds. The majority of these may not be viable anymore but they've been stored correctly and there's a chance some will germinate.

I'm enlisting these kiddos in helping me cut two 5' x 7' raised beds in half. I'm excited to put my hands back in the soil. 🫶🏼

Just your average morning: chased off a few javelinas 🐗, got the well flowing 💧, and hopped in a skid steer to clear tree stumps so I could irrigate pecans 🌳… all before finishing my coffee ☕️ (barely).

This buyer won’t move in for a few months but I’m the keeper of her future orchard until then. Not every client needs the same thing, but whether it’s hauling off stumps, opening the door to pest control, or contract signing, I show up for all of it.

And yes, I bring my own mug. Always!
