One of the projects I recently finished- customers basement was flooding every time it rained. When he called me, he was really frustrated about the situation. We determined that he needed to have sump pumps installed. Lots of steps to this job, but, to give an idea of how involved this job was:
Jackhammered trenching along the perimeter of the basement, secured the sump pumps(3 in this job!) in their buckets, then added a layer of stone, then mesh, then another layer of stone.
Next I laid the perforated pvc piping in the trenching and finally poured a layer of cement and made sure everything was level.
The homeowner has sent me a couple of texts since to let me know how happy he is with my work.
