Great relief for our community!
The City of Enterprise, Ala. announced Tuesday that late fees for city utility bills, including water, sewer, and sanitation services, will be waived for the duration of the ongoing federal government shutdown. The city recognizes that many residents may be affected, including neighbors and friends who serve or work at US Army Fort Rucker & AVCOE as soldiers, Department of Defense civilians, and contractors.
Essential city services will continue without interruption, and city leaders emphasized that Enterprise will not allow factors outside of citizens’ control to negatively impact their access to essential utilities. Residents should note that the city does not control electric or gas bills.
Late fees will be waived until 30 calendar days after the federal government shutdown has ended.
Residents with questions or concerns about their utility bills are encouraged to visit Enterprise City Hall and speak with customer service representatives in the Water Department. Staff will work with individuals to establish flexible payment arrangements as needed.
The Enterprise community continues to rally and support our soldiers, their families, and other employees affected by the government shutdown. The city remains committed to helping neighbors and friends navigate this challenging time.
